Golf Membership Near Ocoee: Which AMGC Plan Actually Fits Your Week?
So you're in Ocoee, and you've already decided. You want to practice indoors, on a schedule, and you're done hoping the weather cooperates. Good. That part's settled.
Now the real question. Which plan?
Athletic Motion Golf Club sits right next door in Winter Garden, and there are three memberships on the board. Four hours a month for $79. Twelve hours for $167. Unlimited for $299. They look simple. They kind of are. But the booking rules matter more than most people think, and picking the wrong one is how you end up paying for hours you never touch (or running out by the second week).
Let's sort it out. If you'd rather just look at the plans yourself, they're all on the AMGC memberships page.
First, what every plan gets you
Doesn't matter which tier you land on. You get a private TrackMan bay. TrackMan is in every one of our 8 bays, so there's no "good bay" to fight over.
You also get discounted lessons with an AMG Certified Instructor, video swing analysis, and the Price Lock Guarantee, which means your rate is your rate. No initiation fee. No long-term contract. The site also says members save up to 80% off standard hourly rental rates. That's their number, straight off the page.
There's a weekly group piece too, the Player Development Program. Each week has a theme. Distance one week, short game another, putting, ball control, that kind of thing. Some membership levels get it included and others get it at a discount, so ask which applies to you.
What it isn't? It's not a promise that you'll drop five strokes by spring. Nobody can sell you that. What you're buying is time in a private bay with real numbers on the screen. The rest? That's on you.
The three plans, through an Ocoee golfer's week
Okay. Forget the feature grid for a sec. How would you actually use these?
Twice a month? The $79 plan
You play on weekends. You don't need to live at the range. You just want to show up before a round, knock the rust off, and see what your carry numbers are really doing.
That's four hours a month, with a cap of two hours in any one day. So picture two solid two-hour sessions. Or four quick one-hour visits. Whatever fits around work and the kids.
Do the math and it's under $20 an hour. One catch, though. The plan's listing says recording access is limited by bay access. Translation: video's tied to your bay time, so plan your swing work inside those four hours.
Every week? The $167 plan
The site tags this one Most Popular. Makes sense.
Twelve hours. Call it three a week, give or take. An hour on a Tuesday night, say, and then two on Saturday before the yard work. Same two-hour daily cap as the starter plan. And you get in-bay video recording for swing analysis, so you can actually watch what you're working on instead of guessing.
About $14 an hour, if you're counting. If you've got a lesson plan going and you want to rep it between sessions, this is probably your plan.
Whole family swinging? The $299 plan
Got a kid who swings? A spouse who's picking up the game? This one's built for that.
Unlimited Access lets you book up to three hours a day. There's no monthly hour count to track. Family membership is included, so your immediate family is welcome right there in your bay with you. In-bay video recording comes with it too.
If you're the person who'd honestly come in four or five times a week, or you'd be splitting time with the family anyway, the numbers lean hard toward this one.
The booking rules, in plain English
This is where people get surprised. So let's not.
Your hours can be booked back to back or spread out. Two hours on a Monday, fine. One hour here and one there across the month, also fine. Just remember the daily caps. Two hours a day on the 4-hour and 12-hour plans. Three hours a day on Unlimited.
Here's the rule people miss. You can't stockpile a pile of future reservations. Once you use an hour, you can replace it with a new booking. It's not a cut to your total hours. It just limits how many reservations you're holding at once, so everyone gets a fair shot at the bays.
Want to stay longer than your allowance? You can. The extra time bills to your account in 1-hour increments.
And if you pick wrong? Switch. Plans can be changed at the front desk, or online in the website or app, any time.
Getting from curious to member
You don't have to join on day one. Really.
Option one, book a bay a la carte first. You'll need an account on the website or app, then you can grab time on the bay rental page. Hit some balls. See what TrackMan tells you. Feel the place out.
Option two, if you already know, just go to memberships, pick a plan, and hit Join.
Then book your first hours and show up. That's really the whole thing.
Not sure yet? Here's a decent rule. If you think you'll come in about twice a month, start small. If it's every week, go middle. If the whole family's coming, or you're basically there every day, go unlimited. And if you guess wrong, you can change it.
Why this is worth it for Ocoee golfers
You've got courses around you. That's not the problem. The problem is the August afternoon where it's pouring by 3 PM, or the week you get maybe one round in and none of it is practice.
A membership gives you a standing place to go that doesn't care about the forecast. Not an entertainment night with a crowd at the next screen. A private bay, booked on your schedule, with numbers.
And it's close. Winter Garden is right next door, just west of Orlando. If you want a lesson down the road, members get the discount, and lessons with Nick Duffy book through the lessons page.
Golf membership Ocoee FAQs
Is there a contract?
Nope. Cancel any time, for any reason. Cancellations have to be in writing by email, or you can call the front desk. You keep access until your paid term ends.
Do you give refunds if I cancel?
No. The site compares it to a gym. Memberships include discounted bay access, so there aren't refunds, but you keep your bay time through the end of what you've paid for.
Can I switch plans later?
Sure can. Ask at the front desk, or log in on the website or the app and do it yourself. Whenever.
I'm out of hours but I'm hitting it great. Now what?
You can stay. Extra time past your daily or monthly allowance bills to your account in 1-hour increments.
Can my family use my membership?
On Unlimited, family membership is included, and immediate family can join you in your bay. The site also says you can add up to three immediate family members to your membership level for a small fee per person. Sign up first. Then shoot the club an email or swing by the desk to add them. They'll tell you the fee.
Lessons without a membership. Possible?
Totally. Make an account and you can book lessons, clinics, even fittings, one at a time. Members just pay less for them.
I live in Windermere or Horizon West, not Ocoee. Same deal?
Yep. Same club, same three plans. Windermere, Clermont, Horizon West, west Orlando, doesn't matter.
Can lefties use the bays?
Yes. Every bay works for lefties and righties.
