What Club Fitting Near Ocoee Actually Looks Like
So you searched club fitting Ocoee. Probably because something in the bag isn't matching your swing anymore, and you're tired of guessing which club it is.
Maybe it's the driver. You're swinging fine, it feels square at impact, and the ball still peels off the same way every single time like it's got somewhere better to be. Or your 7-iron and 8-iron go about the same distance, which is a strange thing to have paid for twice.
The fitting you'd book happens indoors at Athletic Motion Golf Club, over in Winter Garden. It's its own on-site booking, separate from bay time and lessons, and it starts on our club fitting page.
Ocoee golfer, Winter Garden building
Ocoee's one of the towns our fitting page names, and for most people coming from that side it's a short drive over. We're not going to put a minute count on it. You know your own roads, and what traffic does at five o'clock, better than we do.
The building's the indoor golf club, with 9 TrackMan bays: 8 private rental bays plus a dedicated GEARS lesson and studio bay. The fitting itself runs in its own indoor studio inside that building on launch-monitor technology, so the Florida weather doesn't get a vote on your session.
Lefties and righties are both welcome, in the fitting and everywhere else in the club.
What actually happens in a fitting session
We can't really give you a play-by-play of it, to be honest. The length and the order of things come down to which fitting you pick, and the booking page has that, so give it a look when you book.
What we can tell you is the shape of it. You hit balls. The numbers come up. Then you hit some more with a different setup and look at what changed.
That's really the whole idea, data before equipment. The fitting compares club options against your swing and puts the numbers in front of you, stuff like where on the face you're catching it and how much the shaft's bending through impact, plus a lot more on the screen than you'll care about on day one.
Say it's the driver. The session's about comparing driver and shaft setups against your own swing data and watching whether contact and ball flight actually get better, or whether a setup just feels different for five swings and then goes right back to the old miss. Some changes will look better on the screen. Some won't. Both tell you something.
Brand-agnostic is the phrase on our fitting page, which basically means the comparison isn't limited to one label.
And you don't have to buy anything that day. You see the numbers, you sleep on it if you want, and nobody's rushing you.
Pick the fitting that matches the problem
The fitting page lists a handful of types. There's a full bag fitting, and there are narrower ones for the driver, the irons, wedges and the putter, plus a shaft-only option.
You don't have to do the whole bag on day one. Bring the club that's actually bugging you and start there. Often it's just one, and it's usually the one you'd rather not pull on the first tee.
What the fitting is, and what it isn't
It's its own booking. A fitting isn't part of a membership and it isn't bundled into bay time, so you'll book it separately through club fitting or book here.
It also isn't a lesson. Nobody's rebuilding your swing during a fitting. The point is the equipment, measured against the swing you've got right now, today, warts and all.
Pricing and current times live on the booking page. We don't post them here, partly because they change, and you'd rather see the real number when you book anyway.
GEARS 3D isn't part of a fitting either. That books with Nick Duffy in a lesson, in the dedicated GEARS lesson and studio bay.
When it's actually time to book one
There's no rule for it. But a few moments tend to make the decision for you.
The obvious one is when you're about to buy new clubs anyway. Spending that money without numbers is a bit like buying shoes off a photo.
Another one's sneakier. Your swing's changed, maybe from lessons, maybe from a few years of just getting older, and the clubs you bought for the old swing are still sitting in the bag, doing what they can.
Then there's gapping. Two irons going the same distance, or a big hole between your longest iron and your shortest wood, and you keep ending up in that hole from about the same yardage every round.
Sometimes it's just a feeling you can't shake. You're striking it okay and the ball still isn't doing what the strike says it should. That's worth measuring before you blame yourself for it.
Club problem or swing problem?
Here's the honest part. Sometimes the answer isn't the club at all.
When the miss is really a swing thing, a lesson with Nick Duffy is the better place to start, and the fitting can wait until the swing settles down. Nick teaches with TrackMan and video, and GEARS 3D when you book that kind of session. You'll find him on the lessons page.
Plenty of golfers end up using both in the same building, just not in the same hour. There's also a longer fitting post written for Winter Garden golfers that comes at it from another angle.
While you're over here
You could make a morning of it and hit balls afterward. We've got 8 private TrackMan bays for rental, and you can grab one through bay rental.
Bring your own clubs, the ones you actually play, including the one you're mad at. Shoes without metal spikes or nubs.
Quick answers
Is there club fitting near Ocoee?
Yes, over in Winter Garden. Ocoee's one of the towns named on our fitting page, and the fitting runs on site at Athletic Motion Golf Club in its own indoor studio.
Do I book the fitting through AMGC?
You start on our site, at club fitting or book here, and that walks you into the fitting booking. It's separate from bay rental and lessons, so you can't tack it onto a bay hour.
How long does a fitting take?
That's one we won't guess at. It depends on which type you pick, and the booking page shows current times, so check there before you plan the rest of your day around it.
Am I stuck buying clubs afterward?
No. You walk out with the numbers, and nobody's going to push you to decide on the spot. Take them home and think it over.
Do lefties get fit too?
Yep, lefties get fit the same way righties do. Both are welcome in the fitting studio and every bay, and in lessons with Nick, GEARS ones included.
Where does GEARS 3D fit in?
Not in the fitting. GEARS 3D is something you book with Nick Duffy as a lesson, while the fitting runs on launch-monitor technology in its own studio.
What should I bring?
Your current clubs, especially the one giving you trouble, and shoes without metal spikes or nubs. A rough idea of your usual miss helps too, even if it's just "it goes sideways and I don't know why."
Should I take a lesson first?
Depends what's going wrong. When the same fault shows up with every club in the bag, start with Nick. When it's one club misbehaving and the rest are fine, that's more of a fitting question.
